What was God thinking when he decided to send you here?
Didn't he know that you were meant for a heavenly palace full of sweet dreams?
Not a world full of corruption, disaster, and disease
You're too good for this place, and I fit perfectly
I'm evil, you're pure, I ruin, you cure
You say you're not perfect
I say I'm no angel but...
I guess we've found perfection in one another’s soul
Absolution in each others eyes
And a kind assurance in one another’s voices that we will always be there for each other
What was God thinking when he decided to send you here?
For whatever reason he had...
I'm thankful we have each other.
I have the greatest friend on earth
Sisters by god but not by birth
I owe her a lot for all she has done for me
Without her in my life I am not sure where I'd be
We will be best friends forever until we die
We have certain jokes that no one would understand but her and I
Together we share our life story
We look for good in others glory
She is amazing every single day
I admire and look up to her in every way
She understands me and I don't have to explain
She brings her sunshine to the rain
Someone sent by god to do great things
One of heaven's angels with no visible wings
If you ever meet Amanda then you will see
Why she is the definition of the greatest friend to me.
Amanda, thanks for always being there for me
You have shown me just how best friends should be!

Friendship . . .

. . . is you.
. . . is love.
. . . is shared.
. . . is forgiving.
. . . is understanding.
. . . is shared secrets.
. . . heals many hurts.
. . . is not judgmental.
. . . is shared laughter.
. . . is slow and steady.
. . . can be angry at times.
. . . is dependable and true.
. . . is more precious than silver or gold.
. . . is meant to be savored like fine wine.
. . . is not perfect, much like we are not perfect.
. . . does not hold grudges or demand perfection.
. . . makes all the wrong things in life, right somehow.
. . . is meant to be gulped like lemonade on a hot summer day.
. . . is always there, through times of trial, happy times and hard times.
. . . just happens, but once discovered, needs to be tended like a beautiful garden.
. . . is a road to be traveled slowly, remembering the sights and sounds.
. . . is strength when you are too weak to notice its there.
. . . is a cherished moment of mutual understanding.
. . . reaches into your heart and grabs a firm hold.
. . . is a refreshing rain on a hot day.
. . . is sunshine through the clouds.
. . . cannot be forced or induced.
. . . is relaxed and comfortable.
. . . is a shoulder to lean on.
. . . is an ear to whine to.
. . . gets better with age.
. . . is shared tears.
. . . is shared pain.
. . . is shared joy.
. . . is shared.
. . . is love.
. . . is you.

FRIENDSHIP POEMS

Friendship is a strange thing.
We find ourselves telling each other
the deepest details of our lives...
things we don't even share with the families who
raised us.
But what is a friend?
A confidant? A shoulder to cry on? An ear to listen?
A heart to feel?
A friend is all these ... and more.
No matter where we met,
no matter how long we've been together
... I call you friend.
A word so small, yet so large in feeling,
a word filled with emotion,
a word overflowing with love.
Truly great things come in small packages.
Once the package of friendship has been opened,
it can never be closed.
It is a constant book always waiting ... waiting to be
read
... and enjoyed.
We may have our disagreements ...
we may have our disappointments ...
we may argue ... we may concern one another ...
friendship is a unique
bond that lasts through all tribulations.
A part of each of us goes into our friendships
... our humor ...
our experiences ... our tears.
Friendships are foundations ... necessary for life
... and love.
Friends ... you and me ...

you brought another friend and then we were three ...
we started our group ... our circle of friends ...
there is no beginning ... there is no end

FRIENDS

A simple smile, a loving word, a joke to brighten up the day,
A phone call when you're not at your best, a light to lead the way,
An ear to listen a heart to accept, to love and understand,
The simple way you came to me, the gentle touch of your hand.

The way we think a lot alike on fun or serious things,
It seems to be this friendship has taken to it's wings.
Through days and weeks and even months we have shared a lot "deep" within,
but guaranteed with love and trust, that's a good way to begin.

For when two people such as us, can meet and almost blend,
I've read your heart, I know your mind, and am "greatful" to call you Friend.
